Zvi Slonimsky – Chairman

Zvi is the Chairman of Teledata (an Israeli Telecom company) and Surf (an Israeli Telecom company), and a board member of Alvarion (Israel) and Sequans (France).
Zvi served as CEO of Alvarion (NASDAQ) until October 2005, following its foundation through the merger between BreezeCOM and Floware in August 2001.He joined Breezecom in May 1999.
Prior to this period, Mr. Slonimsky served as President and CEO of MTS Ltd. and General Manager of DSP Group, Israel.
Zvi has a B.Sc.E.E. and M.Sc.E.E. degrees from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. degree from Tel-Aviv University.

Matan Naftali – Director and CEO

Matan is serving as Maradin CEO from the end of 2007.
Matan works for several years in the MEMS business, including a vast experience from the working floor of MEMS manufacturing business. at SCD, Israel.
His experience in modeling & design of MEMS along with MEMS fabrication methods covers years of research, development and manufacturing engineering work at the cutting edge of this technology. Matan holds a few patents & publications in the MEMS area.
Matan received his B.Sc. & M.Sc. in mechanical engineering and a MBA, from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology

David Nuttman – Director

VP R&D Physical Logic LTD. Focusing on intelligent medical sensors (2005)
Expertise developing sensors for medical devices, based upon innovative ASIC, MEMS . Leading international R&D teams.
Previously TeraSync R&D HW and SW team leader
Education: B.Sc. Degree in Electronic Engineering, Tel Aviv University, Israel

Rafi Retter – Director

Serving as Zoran’s Vice President and Senior Fellow, Rafi has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of VLSI design. His expertise covers Microprocessor and DSP architecture and design, as well as digital video processing, including demodulation, forward error correction, MPEG and JPEG. Until Oren Semiconductor’s acquisition by Zoran, Rafi served as Senior Vice President, Engineering and CTO at Oren, and was one of their founders. Prior to co-founding Oren, Rafi served as VP Engineering and VP R&D at Zoran Corporation, as well as General Manager of Zoran’s Israeli design center. Rafi received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He is the holder of seventeen patents.

Armin Schon – Director

Armin Schon is President of the Medical Division and Corporate Vice President of Orbotech Ltd. (www.orbotech.com), the leading provider of imaging systems for nuclear cardiology. Previously he served as CEO of El-Mul Technologies, Ltd. (www.el-mul.com), which has developed the world’s first commercial e-beam source based on a single carbon nanotube embedded in a MEMS electron optics structure. Armin has held various technical and managerial positions in medical device companies like Philips Medical Systems and Elscint, among them 5 years in Asia-wide marketing and business development for CT and MRI modalities, based in Hong Kong. He holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in physics from the University of Heidelberg in Germany.

Peter R. Walti – Director

Peter Walti is Managing Partner of Dr. Peter R. Walti Associates, an independent management and legal consulting firm, specialized on family owned businesses and start-up companies. He serves on several boards of international companies mainly of the IT Services and Telco industry (e.g. Celestica AG, Logica plc., Misys plc. Micro Focus plc., sophos plc.) and has been involved in various M&A, IPO’s and corporate finance transactions. Peter Walti has been Chairman of the Swiss Computing Services Association, Member of the legal council of ECSA European Computer Services Association and founder and Chairman of the FBN Family Business Network, Switzerland.

Since January 2010 Peter Walti has taken over the Chairmanship of Physical Logic AG, Zug (Switzerland) (www.physical-logic.com)

Dr. Peter R. Walti holds a Ph.D. and Master in Law from the University of Zurich as well as a Master of Business Administration of IMD (former Imede) International Institute for Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Katja Beyer – Director

Katja Beyer is founding partner of FIRST Corporate Finance an an independent corporate finance advisory boutique. Katja started her international career in 1993 at Coopers & Lybrand in New York. From 1995 until 1997 she was Chief of Staff of Deutsche Telekom’s Group CFO and primarily involved with the IPO of Deutsche Telekom AG. In 1997 she became CFO of DT’s wholly owned IT subsidiary DeTeCSM GmbH. In 2001 Ms Beyer became CFO of Quam GmbH, the UMTS joint venture of Telef?nica and Sonera. Before founding FIRST Corporate Finance she was CFO Germany, Austria, Switzerland of LogicaCMG GmbH & Co. KG.

Katja also founded her own consulting company specializing primarily in the structuring and restructuring of financial departments and processes for large corporations. Assignments include Toll Collect GmbH and a British IT services provider.

Katja holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School; University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business; New York University.
